April 2026 News
April Showers Bring May Flowers
This has been one of the best months I’ve had in content creation in a long while.
Current Progress:
227,000 views (4% of 6 million goal)
100+ subscribers
Already ~10% of the way to monetization
May Goals:
Triple current view pace (~680k+ views)
Maintain 5–6 Shorts per week
Release 3–4 long-form reviews
Stay consistent despite new work schedule
I set out to rebuild my channel from the ground up, and now, just 17 days into the project, I’m excited to send my first monthly newsletter.
I wanted to take everything I’ve learned over the last couple of years — all the failed videos, shorts, and live streams — and build something new. No more being locked into one niche like Pokémon or Fire Emblem. I’m opening the door to all kinds of content.
I still have 163 days left to hit 1,000 subscribers and 6 million views, and while I’ve barely scratched the surface, we’re making steady progress. This newsletter is my way of staying open and honest with you about the journey, the analytics, and what’s happening behind the scenes.
227,000 views — That’s roughly 4% of my total 6-month view goal.
I’m currently behind by about 200k views, but I’m not worried.
Already passed 100 subscribers — which feels amazing this early.
What really blows me away is the pace. It took me 3 years to monetize my Pokémon channel and another full year for my Fire Emblem channel. This new channel is already around 10% of the way to monetization in just 17 days.
After two years of Fire Emblem content, I received a lot of negativity. Now I’m watching people enjoy content on games I’ve never played before (Hollow Knight, Pokémon VGC, etc.), and the response has been incredible. It’s given me a huge confidence boost I genuinely feel like I’m on top of the world right now.
May is going to be challenging with the new job, but I’m committed. I need to roughly triple my numbers while keeping up with Shorts and longer reviews. With your support, I believe we can do it.
Once the audience grows, I want to:
Bring back live-streamed challenge runs
Release a 30-minute review every 7–10 days
Keep uploading 5–6 Shorts per week
Pokémon Colosseum / Gale of Darkness review (almost finished)
Kingdom Hearts (Proud Mode — currently raging 😂)
Metroid Dread
Silk Song (highly requested)
The order may shift depending on how the games go, but those are the big ones coming soon.
If you made it all the way through — thank you! I know it’s a bit long, but I wanted to share how I’ve been feeling. This really has been an amazing month.
This newsletter will also be posted on my website and channel. Let’s keep growing together!
